Here we go again!

If you're feeling lucky, you could win a prize that’s in the Top 10 of biggest lottery jackpots — but it all starts with a $2 Powerball ticket that could make you a multimillionaire.

A Mega Millions jackpot winner made the weekend interesting. Now what about Powerball?

After no one matched all five numbers plus the Powerball in the $1.04 billion Powerball jackpot for Monday, Oct. 2, the total shot up to $1.2 billion for the Wednesday, Oct. 4, drawing. It was the ninth time in the history of Powerball and Mega Millions lottery games that a jackpot reached $1 billion or more. Wednesday numbers were 9-35-54-63-64 and the Powerball was 1. Power Play was 2x.

No one won Wednesday's drawing either, and now the grand prize climbs to $1.4 billion, just shy of the second-highest all time, for the Saturday, Oct. 7, Powerball drawing.

Saturday numbers were 47-54-57-60-65 and the Powerball was 19. Power Play was 3x. With that, a jackpot winner will not be had, meaning the new Powerball grand prize jumps to $1.55 billion and a cash option of $679.8 million.

Several big winning Powerball tickets were sold Saturday, including two that matched 5 plus the Power Play from Iowa and Maine for $2 million. Matching 5 on tickets that can claim $1 million were those sold in California, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts (2), Michigan, Ohio, Texas (2) and Wisconsin.

Though Wednesday's drawing did not produce a grand prize winner, it wasn't all bad news: Three tickets matched 5 plus the Power Play for $2 million (Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Texas). Another seven tickets matched 5 for a $1 million prize. Those were purchased in California (2), Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas (2).

These rollovers follow a recent summer lotto frenzy after someone in California won the Powerball jackpot for $1.08 billion and someone in Neptune Beach, Florida, won the largest Mega Millions jackpot in the history of the game at $1.58 billion. In less than two months, this lottery grand prize has increased from $20 million to the current pot.

On July 19, a single ticket in California matched all five numbers plus the Powerball to win $1.08 billion, the largest jackpot since therecord-setting $2.04 billion in November. On Aug. 8, a single ticket purchased at a Publix in Neptune Beach, Florida, matched all five numbers plus the Powerball to win $1.58 billion. Finally, on Sept. 25, the $1.58 billion lottery jackpot has been claimed, but its winner remains a mystery, for now. Powerball and Mega Millions rules vary for claiming a prize, depending on the state lottery's stipulations (see below for Florida Lottery's rules).

Like Mega Millions, Powerball tickets start at $2 apiece.

Powerball players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance to match all five numbers plus the Powerball (more about odds below). Below are some frequently asked questions about Powerball, Mega Millions and lottery odds. Good luck!
